Subject: Vatican in Snow

Hi,

This was my 3rd trip to Rome and to the Vatican. However I enjoyed the trip to St Peter's so much more on this occasion. The tour was really great and I would thoroughly recommend it. Stefano is a great guide - really knowledgable and enthusiastic, and he seems to really enjoy his work. I was so glad I booked the tour, otherwise I don't know how we would have passed the day in the snow!! Stefano was extremely pleasant and was patient with us as we trudged through the snow. Instead of shortening the tour it was longer than scheduled! A big thank you to Stefano for what was the highlight of our trip.

Subject: Wonderful Forum Tour

We had a wonderful tour with Caterina. She was deeply knowledgeable, well-spoken, and enthusiastic about answering questions. She kept my 10-year-old enthralled for three hours. She really brought the Roman Forum especially to life (if we had been on our own, it would have been difficult to imagine the significance of what we were seeing). And she did a great job of steering us effectively around the crowds at the Colosseum in addition to explaining the history there as well. A wonderful tour!

Subject: Captivating Introduction to Rome

Leonardo gave us such a thorough and captivating introduction to Rome that we completely forgot about our jetlag. We enjoyed it immensely and felt well informed for the rest of our visit to Rome as a result.

Well organized, worth every cent.

Guido did an exceptional job on our second tour. My family thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the Vatican. He steered us through the vast collections with pertinent commentary, incisive analysis and historical perspective. We learned a lot about art, about history and about Italy and the Vatican in particular. To keep my two children so interested for so long says a lot.

Thank you,

Chris Boydell

Subject: Animated and knowledgeable guide!

Mario was an absolutely amazing tour guide (Underground Rome). So knowledgeable and well-spoken! And animated -- he kept my 10-year-old son entertained for the entire 4-hour tour. I can't say enough nice things about the informative, fascinating tour.

Subject: Incredibly Informative Vatican Tour

Hello!

We were a little reluctant to book a 5 hour tour on our last day of our Europe trip -- Would we be bored? Would we stay awake? The Through Eternity website highly recommended the 5 hour tour over the 3 hour version, so we decided to take a chance. It paid off. Caterina, an art historian, teacher, and Italian native, took my partner and I and 3 other folks on a wonderful journey through the Vatican museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica.

We started off with an short history of of events leading up to the creation of Vatican City, and then dove into the tour. Halfway through the tour we had a short lunch break in the museum cafeteria. Caterina gave great explanations of the art and architecture, and put both into historical context for us. She was clearly passionate about art and art history, and we highly recommend her.

My family and I took a tour of the Roman Forum and the Colosseum with Stefano D'Ovidio and we loved it. He was so friendly and answered all our questions. He took the time to make sure we understood what we were really seeing and made the tour fun. Please let him know what a great job he's doing.

Subject: Excellent 2 Day Tour

My daughter and I had an excellent two day tour with Mario. He was informative, kind and interesting. It was a very expensive splurge for us but it was well worth the expense. I was very pleased with every aspect of the tour. Mario was both professional and friendly; intellectual and witty! You are fortunate to have him as a tour guide.

Fondly,

Subject: Unforgettable Underground Tour

Our Underground tour with Thomas our guide was an unforgettable experience in which we shall always treasure. It was truly an intriguing experience to see that which many in Rome merely walk above and never know exists which is more ancient and historical in most cases than that which is above ground. Thomas enlightened us on the history of that which we were seeing and led us back in time through an informative and at times emotional tour that let us visually experience how Romans throughout the ages have lived. The layers we experienced underground have given us a beter understanding of how Rome came to be and how Christianity was born here anew.

Subject: Excellent Forum and Palatine tours

Leonardo was wonderful and extremely knowledgable - we also toured the Forum and Colosseum with him in the morning. He has a great personality and was very thorough in his explanations. We would definitely tour with him again and recommend to others. We loved our visit to Rome!

Hello!

I took the vatican tour a couple of weeks ago. It was fantastic! I usually don't take tours but my Dad told me I should take this one, as he took it with my mother about a year ago and loved it. I'm so glad I took his advice! Cinzia was so friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable! I learnt so much that I know I never would have had I explored the Vatican on my own. It was fun and so interesting! I'd recommend it to anyone. 10/10!

My family and I were very pleased with both Ancient Rome and Vatican tours with Luca DeAngelis and Caterina Panetta, respectively. Both were extremely friendly, knowledgable, interesting, and passionate about their subjects. I highly recommend both for future tours. I feel my family learned so much more touring these sites with the guides than we would have alone. I'm so thankful we chose your company and had the fortune of spending the days with two such wonderful historians.

Subject: A different perspective

We took tours with Eternity four years ago when we were in italy. Same tour as this year, coleseum tour, and three in florence. All were great. We took the same tour this year because we enjoyed it so much four years ago a lot to take in absorb and learn.
An american lady with an Art History major took us last time. She was great. This year Guido gave us a different perspective and we enjoyed oh so much. December allowed us to throughly enjoy the tour due to the lack of people there. We virtually had the place to ourselves. Different parts of the museum were open this time. We found Eternity by reading Rick Steves and glad we did. In response to your initial question--Guido was great.

Luca De Angelis was amazing and his knowledge on archaeology makes the whole trip very interesting and informative. He will make a fantastic teacher especially incorporating little quizzes that will pique your interest during the whole tour. He brought books to provide artist impression of how the place used to look like which enables us to envision the palatine hill. I totally enjoyed the tour and Luca is really a gem to have on your team!

Subject: Highly Recommendable Vatican Tour

We greatly appreciated our in-depth Vatican tour led by Eugenia on 27/10/11. The Vatican and all its treasures is so overwhelming that I can't imagine visiting it for the first time without a guide. Eugenia was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. It was a long day, but we saw a lot and learned a lot. I would highly recommend this tour to others.
