Subject: Gabriel is Not your Average Guide!

Gabriel was not your average guide as we established early on. His knowledge and enthusiasm for his subject was evident immediately and as we were lucky enough to only be 6 participants interacting and asking questions was easy. While walking between the locations on the tour, Gabriel gave us lots of background information which helped to put the sites into context and pointed out elements of the townscape that supported the knowledge he was giving.

We spent the following days in Rome, wondering about all the past below our feet in a way we would not have done, had we not taken this tour.

Subject: Well worth the time and money.

Our experience with Through Eternity Tours and Giovanni Vergineo was well worth the time and money. Giovanni was delightful and more importantly, extremely knowledgable about the Vatican and St. Peter's tour.

Subject: Our tour was excellent.

Our tour was excellent.

Cinzia was knowledgeable, provided just enough historical context for our enjoyment of the artwork, and paced herself to match ours. Her mastery of English was excellent, and we appreciated her attentiveness to making sure we were safely on the right subway back to our hotel.

Despite the crowds, we did not feel rushed. One feature we liked were the briefings, with photos, prior to seeing the sculptures, hallways, buildings, etc., so we knew what to look for and what was most significant. Only suggestion for this tour is to recommend guests bring along a snack in addition to the water. Once in line, we did not want to backtrack to get lunch - although this was offered.

This was a wonderful tour. John was very knowledgable and entertaining and kept us moving as a group with the expertise of a seasoned experienced guide. Loved the headsets that made it so easy to hear everything that he said in a crowded atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

I just wanted to let you know how much Mike and I enjoyed our tour
with Mario on April 9, 2013. Mario was informative, entertaining and
personable. We have been on more than a few tours and most are just
informative. A couple have been more personality than informative and one
or two we have even said we REMEMBER a guide after a trip--or even a few
years later. Not only will Mike and I recommend THROUGH ETERNITY tours,
we will happily tell friends and family to ask if Mario is available as a guide.

The tour we scheduled went very well. The guide knew her stuff. Would highly recommend you and her. The only negative would be.....too many people in the Vatican. Which isn't something you can control.

Subject: I did not expect such excellent service!

We had three tours:

1. Ancient city at Twilight where Mario was our guide.

2. Roman Forum and Coliseum – with Cinzia (I hope I spelled her name correctly)

3. Vatican city with Cinzia again.


We had the greatest experience with both guides. I did not expect such excellent service! Knowledge, timing, understanding, etc….. At the end of every tour we were surprised that time passed (and we have not short tours, but more than five hours tours!).

Thanks to Mario – we could finish and have such fun during our late tour (at twilight). One of our daughters is seven years old and you can imagine what guide needs to do to keep all of us entertaining and even my young daughter! He combined the history, his imagination, ability to act and his family history together ….. My family gives him five out of five! Thanks Mario!

Cinzia – what can you say if after almost six hours of walking, talking, questioning, listening – you still want to see and know more? She is great! Her explanations were in deep, but reasonably short that we could keep up with all her knowledge. She was willing to answer all our questions, was following our interests. When we found out that she will be our guide on the next day – all our family was very happy.

Two guides – no complains. Thank you for such a good service!!!! Definitely will use you next time!

Caterina was terrific. Like our other guides, she was exceptionally knowledgeable. She truly cared about the ancient history of Rome and the Romans. Our five hour Nero's Rome tour flew by.
