Subject: We Were Very Impressed with Guido!
Greg and I loved this tour! My sister learned about your group through a Rick Steve's travel book. They took a couple of your tours 2 years ago and recommended them to us. We were impressed with all of the historical knowledge that Guido provided. He was knowledgable, informative, and interesting to listen to. Thanks for a great experience!
Subject: Cinzia has great expertise!
We were impressed with the art expertise of Cinzia on this Vatican tour. We are both history buffs, but our knowledge of painting is much more limited, so all of her information was really helpful and fascinating to learn. She helped us understand what we saw very well. Also, both guides spoke English very well which is so helpful. We have already recommended your tours to others
Subject: Two Superb Tours: Eva and Massimo!
The tour "Nero's Rome..... Led by Mr Massimo Belati, was truly fascinating. Massimo brought ancient Rome alive for us. His thoroughness and detailed descriptions were incredible. He went to great lengths to ensure our questions were answered, as well as the answers understood. It was a walk through my 7th grade history book. Truly remarkable and I would recommend the tour, especially led by Massimo, to anyone.
The tour "Vatican Museums and St Peters- Essential Experience" led by Eva Polino was excellent in every respect. Ms. Polino was very professional and thorough, yet made the tour very personal, (despite the throngs of people in the museum). Especially noteworthy is that she made every effort to ensure all of us(including the 2 small children) saw and understood the items she was sharing with us. The explanations of the Raphael room was extraodinary.
I have taken a tour of the museum before by one of your competitors and it was regrettable. I will be happy to heartily recommend your company and Ms Polino to anyone(actually already have).
Subject: John raises the bar for all other guides!
Firstly, John Tinto was awesome! We were a particularly high maintenance group with lots of special needs - multiple mobility impaired members in our group and three children. During our Vatican tour, John not only provided us with an interesting tour, but also helped with making the tour as comfortable as possible for our elderly family members. My children loved the Vatican - and a big part of that was because of John's exciting way of presenting not only the history but also the interesting facts and tidbits that made the children stay focused. We all loved the presentation John gave us using images from his I pad while sitting in one of the squares at the Vatican. We were all so much better prepared to take in the beauty and grandeur of the Sistene Chapel after his presentation.
We were so happy to have John as our guide for the following day in Rome. In fact, I think our group would have been devastated to not have him the second day! John was excellent at gauging what our particular group could see comfortably in the time we had. His tour of the Colliseum was a highlight for the kids. John goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is comfortable while explaining the history of the sites we visited. This is no small task! We were a group of 11 with all members sitting in the shade while hearing about gladiators. We loved his presentation at the Pantheon. Our group was well prepared for this trip with lots of reading and studying prior to leaving home. John was obviously very well versed on all the sites we visited. Even our members with backgrounds in engineering and architecture were impressed with John's fund of knowledge. I am so glad we visited the San Clemente church and attended Mass at Saint John's.
John is obviously well versed with excellent communication and people skills. He goes the extra mile to accommodate his guests, making sure each of them has the experience of a lifetime. We all will be talking about him and recommending him to all of our friends. In fact, I will be making my first contribution to Cruise Critic and Trip Advisor to comment on this most excellent tour company and guide!
I honestly cannot think of a negative comment except one: John is so excellent he raises the bar to unattainable levels for the rest of the guides you have on your trip! Countless times I heard the members of our group commenting on how much we missed him for the rest of our stay in Europe!
Thanks so much for all,
Subject: Costanza was Great!
Costanza did a great job showing us the highlights of the Uffizi Gallery.
Subject: Both the tours and the guides were great.
I just wanted to say I did a tour with Mario and the Ancient tour with Massimo ….both the tours and the guides were great. Mario was particularly helpful in answering questions and providing advice on non-tour related questions. Massimo’s impressive binder of ruin depictions/drawings/pictures are essential for that tour to help us understand what the buildings really looked like.
Other guides I saw weren’t using them.

Subject: I will definitely recommend this tour with Cinzia to anyone that's going to the Vatican.
This tour was recommended by a friend that took the tour a few years ago and I was really glad I followed her recommendation.
Cinzia was an amazing guide. It was a long 5 hour tour and she kept the group engaged the whole time. She was very informative and we learned a lot from this tour.
I will definitely recommend this tour with Cinzia to anyone that's going to the Vatican.
Subject: Eugenia was an amazing tour guide.
Eugenia was an amazing tour guide. She had comprehensive information about every location we visited and really put early Rome into perspective. We were also fortunate enough while with her to have a chance to see the newly opened segment where the home of the Emperor Augustus was located and the wonderful new frescos. It was truly a great experience and I can not recommend the tours with your company more highly.
Subject: I can not more highly recommend the services of your company.
The tour with John was fantastic. He was patient, knowledgeable and took us to the best gelato location in Rome. My Italian friends were impressed that I had been there. I can not more highly recommend the services of your company.

Subject: I cannot be more pleased about our experience..
Without a doubt our Vatican Museum tour with John Tinto on May 21, 2013 was one the highlights of our trip to Italy. John was excellent, he was patient, took his time and truly educated us on many aspects of the art, history, architecture, etc. He was extremely knowledgeable and had great presentation skills, he kept us engaged for 6 hours (we never stopped for lunch just a small snack as we did not want to miss a thing). We asked John how to get tickets to the general audience the next day and because of his knowledge of how things work at the Vatican he was able to get us three tickets and told us where best to get situated so we could see the Pope. Needless to say we raved about John and Through Eternity Tour. We did three tours with your company on our vacation to Italy.
Our second guide was Mario Baas who also provided us with a great experience. Mario’s style was different than John’s but appropriate to the tour which was the Coliseum and The Forum. Mario was very animated and through his explanations helped us imagine what it must have been like to be at the Coliseum for an event. He knew his history and again we learned a lot on this tour. My daughter (10 years old) remembers everything he mentioned and was engaged during the entire 3 or so hours of our tour. Because our tour was private (just 3 of us) we were able to ask many questions and Mario was able to answer all questions. Because of our tour the day before with John, we had some background knowledge that helped better understand more about what Mario showed us.
The final tour with Through Eternity was with Alessandra Bottone in Pompeii. Alessandra did not disappoint either, she was very knowledgeable about the entire area and she felt like a friend of the family as she made us feel very comfortable. My daughter was very excited about going to Pompeii so this was the highlight of this part of the trip. Again like the other guides, Alessandra helped us understand what it was like to live in this city during that time.
Overall I would like to commend Through Eternity Tours for the following:
1. Quick response once the reservation was made and follow-up once our reservation time was approaching.
2. The emails provided contact information and where to meet guides and the guides where always there ahead of time waiting for us and recognized us right away.
3. The notes made during the reservations were used in coordinating what we were going to see. The guides knew our “history” based on the comments we provided in the reservations.
4. All the guides were professional and true to the description of the website, knowledgeable about the country and sites.
5. The fact that we did not have to wait in lines and because the guides know the sites they know the ebb and flow of tourists and planned how we would see the sites in a way we did not have to fight crowds.
I cannot be more pleased about our experience as these three tours just made our vacation even more memorable, I would highly recommend your company to anyone. We did everything online only using reviews found on Trip Advisor as our guide so it can sometimes make you apprehensive. From a price perspective while some may think it is not economical to us it was worth every penny as we did not have to wait in long lines, try to figure out what the guide book is referring to or hassle with recordings. We had a much more rewarding experience!
