Subject: Great Vatican Tour - Even for Kids!
Dear Through Eternity Tours,
My family thoroughly enjoyed our Vatican Museums & St Peter's Basilica In-Depth Experience. Our guide, Catherine on Tuesday 19/11/13 was very knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to impart her knowledge in a very interesting way. Even my two young daughters enjoyed themselves tremendously. Thank you, Catherine for a wonderful time.
Subject: Three Excellent Group Tours
I do apologize for not getting back to you sooner concerning feedback on all three tours. Trying to get back on our time is tough :O(
VATICAN TOUR: I can’t remember the young girls name, but she was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Having her guide is through the hordes that were there on the Saturday after All Souls Day made the tour “doable.” It would have been impossible otherwise! Although she was a delight, and obviously very passionate about art, there were a few people in our group who were “turned off” by her method of imparting knowledge. She asked too many questions of us, instead of just relaying what she thought would be interesting. I would hope that with time she would learn to judge her audience a bit better. We were all in our 60’s and traveled, so she shouldn’t have treated us occasionally like school children on an outing. Having said that, we throughly enjoyed the tour!
BORGHESE: John was a delight and very good at making the tour fascinating, while imparting a great deal of information. The time flew right by!! He also told us about a view from the Garden that we would not have known about otherwise. It was the perfect way to get to the Spanish Steps. Thank you, John!!
UNDERGROUND: Mario knows his stuff, and we felt very fortunate to have discovered so much more about Rome than the rest of our companions. There is a whole other world “down there” and Mario did a great job of showing it to us. The only thing I might suggest is that you warn people that the tour involved a great deal of walking (miles actually), at a very fast pace, because some people might not be able to handle it. We, on the other hand, felt as though we earned our pizza that night!!
Through Eternity was the perfect guide for our five days in Rome. Our whole group of eight felt the same way! We saw all the highlights, and had very good guides showing us so much more than just the surface. If we every have friends headed your way we certainly will highly recommend your services. The whole process was easy from the booking, to meeting up, and touring. Rome is an amazing city, and you really made it for us.

Subject: Essence of Rome: Great Day!
Dear Customer Care Team,
We thoroughly enjoyed our “Essence of Rome: The must see sights” tour with Caterina Panetta on 11/11/13. Caterina was extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, plus warm and friendly, as she expertly navigated the city sights. She was a wealth of both historical and cultural information and made the day a highlight of our vacation. Caterina is an asset to your organization. We highly recommend Through Eternity tours. Please pass along to Caterina how much we enjoyed our day with her. She was great!!
Subject: 4 Excellent Tousr in Rome and Florence
We took 4 tours with Through Eternity while on vacation in Italy; 2 in Rome (Vatican and Ancient City), and 2 in Florence (Uffizi Gallery and Florence of the Medici). All were excellent, and allowed us to appreciate the sights we were seeing with greater understanding. The 3 tour guides (Linda, Constanza, and Antonietta) were very knowledgeable, and did a wonderful job of keeping the tours interesting and informative. All in all, an excellent addition to our holiday.
Subject: Recommended Group Vatican and Ancient City Tours
Enjoyed the Ancient City tour on Oct. 19, 2013, along with the Vatican tour on Oct. 18, 2013. Both guides were knowledgeable, timely and provided a good tour. I recommend these tours and guides to anyone interested in touring the sites of Rome.
Subject: Dazzled, Simply Dazzled
Greetings from Reno, Nevada
We are finally home after a fabulous trip that included a week in Rome. Usually when we travel, we like to visit cities's independently and that works well for us. But in the case of Rome, we decided that there was much to see and that Rome was many layered city in many ways: history, culture, art, & religion that we would best use our time by booking tours. I did a lot of research hunting down companies that I thought would best help us to maximize the time we spent in Rome. I finally determined to use Through Eternity. The tour descriptions on your website were enticing and seemed to match what we wanted to achieve. I also checked reviews on Trip Advisor and found many glowing reviews. Quickly, we decided to book the semi-private tour for the Colesseum, the Forum and the Palatine plus Underground Rome and 2700 Years of Love & Death. Later we added the Twilight Tour.
We could not have been more pleased with our experience. Each tour and more importantly each guide exceeded our expectations.
We began with the Colesseum tour. Anna was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. Her credentials for leading this tour were impressive. Her skills at navigating a very difficult tour environment were inspiring. Our tour was on November 1 when everyone in Italy decided to visit the ancient sites. The crowds were unbelievable. Apparently, our tour's reservation for the limited access portions of the tour slipped through the cracks or perhaps because we were a small group was jettisoned to accommodate the large tours that were there that day. Anna was relentless in getting us the tour we had been promised. Our time underground was abbreviated but we didn't mind. Being on the third level and on the arena floor without the crowds was wonderful. I probably enjoyed the time on the arena level the most. It really gave me an appreciation of what it must have felt like to perform there. The balance of the tour in the Forum and on the Palatine was fascinating. Anna pointed out the important sites and explained why they mattered. We had a great sense of what Rome was like at end of the Republic and the beginning of the Empire. Being in a group of 6 was wonderful. I was so glad not to be marching forward with a crowd of 60. Having the tour start later than usual worked very well that day -- we got to the Forum after many of the crowds had departed so it made for a much more enjoyable visit.
The next day we met Mario Bass for our tour of Underground Rome. The tour comprised the 2 of us and Mario. I was so favorably impressed that you allowed the tour to proceed with so few participants. Mario also is so enthusiastic about what we covered in the tour. He was able to bring to life the different groups who used the sites we visited. He explained how the underground areas were found, the motivations for the excavations and the helped us understand what we were looking at. Without him, most of it would have been rubble, tunnels & underground rooms and we would have had no understanding of what we were looking at. At the tour's end, he gave us great suggestions for getting back to our hotel and for dinner.
On Sunday, we met Mario again for the 2700 Years tour. Another lady joined us -- it was fantastic to be such a small group. Mario is a wonderful young man, so reflective about how the past is re-lived in the present and about what we have lost in our modern world and what we have gained. To walk through Rome, with that commentary was a great experience. Again, we learned so much about what we were seeing. The tour's end at the Castle San Angelo was an incredible finish.
Finally on Tuesday we met John Tinto for a tour of Rome's major landmarks. We really wondered whether the tour made sense. We had already done most of the walk on our own. We are so glad that we booked the Twilight tour. John provided so much interesting detail that wasn't in our guidebooks pointing out buildings that we had passed many times never knowing their significance. The small group of 4 made this another wonderful experience. John's knowledge of art history and history made the fountains, piazzas, and palazzos come to life.
Anna, Mario and John truly are cultural guides. They are passionate about sharing their appreciation and understanding of Rome to their clients. In each tour, it wasn't about citing dates and historical figures but rather about how each event has participated in the development of today's Rome.
Again, we were completely dazzled by the 4 tours and will recommend your company to all our friends and acquaintances. Thank you!

Subject: Underground Rome: Fabulous!
This was a fabulous tour. Your guide is a professor at University of Syracuse in Rome. He was great and loved what he was doing. Many thanks,
Subject: Excellent Vatican Tour and Considerate Guide
Laura was wonderful. She was thorough and made the tour very interesting. Laura managed to find us the shortcuts which was a big help since I had limited ability. She also gave me plenty of time to rest while not leaving out anything. In addition she helped us with our purchase. I really cannot say enough good things about our tour. Can highly recommend your services and Laura in particular.
Thank you very much

Subject: Wonderful day in Rome
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our "Through Eternity" tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on Oct.21, 2013. Through Eternity Tours did a great job promptly responding to our reservation with all the details we needed. Absolutely better than trying to do it on our own with one of those handheld devices that you hold to your ear to listen to. Our tour group only had about 11 people in it which was a nice size. Our tour guide Ivana Grimaldi did a fantastic job and it was a pleasure spending those 5 hours with her. She was very knowledgeable, professional, organized and well prepared. I especially enjoyed how she helped us to really imagine what the sights we were seeing would have looked like when Rome was at its peak. She has a true interest and a passion for Rome's history which was obvious as we listened to her bring ancient Rome to life for us. Her enthusiasm was contagious and we also enjoyed her friendly sense of humor and relaxed personality. Absolutely money well spent...Ivana, thank you again for a wonderful day in Rome, Through Eternity Tours is lucky to have you.
Subject: Meaningful knowledge
Re Nero's Rome Tour with Anna Gallone
I am happy to reply to you about this tour because I enjoyed it so much. The scope of the tour alone was amazing, but what really made it meaningful was the knowledge that Anna shared with us. She was just great, and to be able to hear the perspective of an anthropologist who has worked on the site was pretty special. I also appreciate the small group size. I would recommend your tours to anyone.

Subject: Very fond memories.
I apologize for taking so long to get to this mostly because this tour was so incredible. Mario's wealth of knowledge and his ease and expertise at conveying it to two brand new tourists who were both jet lagged was an absolute treasure! We can't thank him enough for being so thorough and entertaining. It was truly a magical experience that I would highly recommend!
Very fond memories.
Thank you, Mario!

Subject: Joyful experience
This is regarding our tour with Federica...what a joyful experience we had. She was informative and knowledgeable and gave us one of our best experiences during our vacation in Italy. As this was our first full day in Rome, we couldn't have had a better welcome. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and my husband and I will never forget it.
My only regret is taking so long to reply to this email. Thank you sincerely to Federica and Through Eternity Tours!

Subject: Fantastic history, enchanting storytelling
Hi - let me start by saying that Angelo Alterio brought Florence to life for us. His tour organization was brilliant starting with the history of the city in an interactive display. We were instantly oriented to the various sites we were going to visit on the tour. Angelo's passion for the arts was invigorating. Whether explaining the nuances of the Pieta or the influence of the structure of the baptismal doors we were captivated by what we saw. My wife is an artist so for her it was a reinforcement of what she knew. For me it was an eye opening experience as I learned about how much of the art was created. Angelo reduced the process down to simple concepts which now have given me a perspective for understanding the arts in a much clearer way. Fantastic history, enchanting storytelling and knowledge about how everything came together in the artist's hands. Thanks Angelo!
Subject: Excellent experience
Hi - this was an excellent tour. I am a history buff who minored in Classics many years ago and had always wanted to walk ancient Rome. My wife was not sure about the event as she had not my background. John Tinto created an excellent experience for both of us. I got to see what I had studied and my wife was captivated by the picture of Roman life that John conveyed throughout the tour. We both walked away with a keen awareness and understanding of how much had changed since Roman times and how much remains the same. It was a detail oriented tour on which the history was presented in an easy to understand manner. John stayed away from the drier elements of history, the dates and such, to keep our attention focused on how people lived. The Forum, Palatine and Colosseum really came alive for us under his direction. Thanks for a great day John.
Subject: Knowledge, patience, courtesy and professionalism!
I would be glad to provide feedback, and apologies for the delay as we just got back from our trip.
The tour John led was great - he did an excellent job and was the consummate professional. Very enjoyable tour - his knowledge was extensive, but he was able to tell it to the group at an undertandable, sometimes humorous (in a good way), and thorough manner. The length of the tour was good - there is so much to see there, but we had ample stop/sit times yet John kept it moving and dispensed a considerable amount of information during our 5 hours together. He also did a good job of herding cats with our group - we were never held up by unruly group members or people wandering off and getting lost.
Just like the Vatican tour we had with John Tinto, this one (Nero's Rome) was great. Anna was very knowledgable about the architecture and functions in each place we visited and did a great job of explaining everything to us. We saw a lot, moved around a lot, but never felt hurried or like she was talking at us instead of to us. Anna was very kind to take a lot of questions from the group and answer them individually - being very thorough, yet keeping the tour moving.
We learned a lot and enjoyed everything we saw (unfortunately the lower level of the Colosseum had just been closed due to some rocks falling by the entrance), and again Anna's knowledge, patience, courtesy, and professionalism made the tour an A+ event.
We will recommend this tour as well to anyone we know going to Rome.
Thanks again for the fantastic venue you all provide to have "semi-private" tours of what must be the most visited places on the planet!
