We had the pleasure of having Mario as our tour guide. He was personable, knowledgable, as well as entertaining. Being history buffs, Mario provided us with information and experiences we will never forget.

Thank you for the wonderful experience,

Subject: We had a wonderful tour with Luca!

Hi!

We had a wonderful tour with Luca. It could not have been a better experience for all five of us. Luca was so informative, well-spoken, and just a pleasure to be with all day. He arrived on time and full of energy despite the early hour (8:00 am) that we requested for our tour to begin. His passion for antiquity was contagious and he shared his knowledge in a dynamic and interesting manner - with visuals and historic and contemporary references. He was patient with all of our questions and kind to my children. We were sorry when the tour ended to say good-bye!

In addition to recommending your company and Luca, in particular, to our friends and colleagues traveling to Italy, the next time we come to Rome, we will definitely contact you and request Luca for another tour.

Warmest regards,

Sarah

Subject: Absolutely Fantastic

Our Nero's Rome tour was absolutely fantastic.

I would recommend this tour to everyone. We have been to Rome before but this tour added so much depth to our understanding of the city. A small group, a very informed guide, Katia, and access to many areas denied to the general public and people on the 'mass' tours.

The Underground tour was absolutely wonderful and Luca, our guide, should have his own TV show because with his knowledge and charisma people would watch.

Subject: Katia was Incredible!

Katia was incredible! We had a great tour and please thank her for us. She was extremely knowledgeable about both the Vatican and St. Peter's. Whenever we asked a question it was evident she had 5 more things she could tell us.

More than anything we appreciate you honoring the group tour we signed up for -- despite the fact that the "group" was just Katia, my wife and me. We spent 5 weeks in Europe and met many shysters; it was wonderful to have given our business to an honorable company.

We had a fabulous Rome of Caesar and Michelangelo tour with Gabriel. It was very relaxed and he showed us many things we would never have discovered for oursleves. I always recommend your company to friends when they are traveling and ask about tours. Private tours are truly the way to go. Your guides are always very knowledgable and gracious. Thank you again for the great tour.

Subject: Spectacular First Experience in Rome!

I very much enjoyed my Tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Bascillica. Stefano D'Ovidio was so well informed and kept us moving at the right pace. I have already recommended Through Eternity tours to some of my friends. I tried to book the Through Eternity tour for Florence but you were already sold out for the whole month of August! (Guess alot of people have discovered how good your tours are).

Thank you for making my first Rome experience and this particular tour such a pleasant experience!

Subject: Highlight of Our 2 Week Vacation!

We were very pleased with the tour of Pompeii and Ercolano. Bartolomeo was an excellent guide. We learned so much about Pompeii and Ercolano. He was knowledgeable and customized what he showed us at Pompeii based on our interests and questions.

We had no problems with the instructions you provided for getting the train. That worked very well. We did think we were going to have to take the train from Pompeii back to Naples but driver took us instead. Which confused us momentarily but was a nice surprise.

The driver also helped us find some pizza in Naples. Unfortunately, 6pm Sunday is not prime restaurant time in Naples. My husband says Pompeii was the highlight of our 2 week vacation for him!

Subject: The Vatican tour with Katia was Fabulous!

The tour with Katia was FABULOUS! She was so knowledgeable. What I really loved about the way she presented the tour was that she made sure to point out things that she followed up on later on in the tour, so she connected the information so that it made sense and followed a thread. She made sure to have us sit when we could while she gave us information. Seeing the Sistine Chapel at 8am, before crowds, was probably the highlight of our trip to Rome. I would definitely recommend Through Eternity Tours, and will recommend you on trip advisor. Thank you again!

Subject: Great Tour with John

We recently participated in your "Vatican Museums and St. Peter's - In-depth Experience (Avoid the Lines with this Tour)" tour with John Tinto.

We found Mr. Tinto to be knowledgeable about the different areas of Vatican covered by the tour. He was patient and accommodating. He was willing to share his knowledge and answer any questions. The way he organized the group, with seats, in the Sistine Chapel is commendable given the crowds (there was barely enough place to stand). The timing of the break (to avoid the major lunch crowd surge) was thoughtful and showed his experience. Also the time provided for the break was adequate.

All in all, it was a good tour and we would recommend the same to others.

Subject: Wonderful Forum Tour with Luca

We recently participated in "City of the Caesars: Colosseum and Roman Forum (Avoid the Lines with this Tour)" tour with Luca De Angelis.

We found Luca to be very knowledgeable about Forum and Coloseum. He took his time to explain relevant details. He had taken the trouble to bring along books with pictures of reconstructed sites which greatly enhanced the experience. He was always willing to answer questions posed by the group. In fact, he was encouraging the group to ask questions. He would also point out things which would be of importance to the tourists like the toilet and water fountain. Also, the day we toured Forum, it was hot and windy and he took care to get the group into a shady shielded location to the extent possible.

All in all, we enjoyed the tour due to Luca's knowledge and presentation. We would recommend the same to others.

Subject: Highly Recommend Eugenia!

Eugenia was great! She was patient and flexible with us on our private tour, as we were taking our 90 year-old grandmother around in a wheelchair. She was smart, fun and had a warm personality. We highly recommend Eugenia and Through Eternity!

Subject: Terrific Thomas!

To Whom It May Concern:

There were three of us that took the underground Rome tour on 30/7/12. We all enjoyed it very much. Thomas was great. He not only told us many details of underground Rome, but also shared his passion telling us the how and why things occurred. He would always ask us if we had any questions. Thomas took in to account the makeup of the group to allow us to rest and take a drink as needed.

The pace of the tour was good. We saw a lot in the given time that allowed us to really take some time to absorb it and take pictures where allowed. The things we saw and learned about were varied enough that it wasn’t repetitive.

All in all it was a great experience lead by a terrific guide. I will continue to recommend this tour as well as other tour provided by Through Eternity to anyone I know that will be visiting Rome.

Best Regards,
Gene

Subject: A Gracious Guide, Incredible Tour

I just posted the following review of our tour on TripAdvisor. As you can see, the tour was amazing and we cannot say enough good things about John. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. (Note that, while I did not mention this in the review, my boyfriend and I embarrassingly arrived with 3 euros less than we should have had to pay for the entrance fee, and yet John was gracious enough to cover the difference. He also took several photos for us on his iphone, and promptly emailed them to us, when we realized mid-way through the tour that we had forgotten to bring our camera. Memories like that are irreplaceable, and so we are truly so so grateful that John was our guide and handled the situation with us so graciously. Should there be some other way we might reimburse John/Through Eternity for the euros that we were not able to pay, we would happily do so, please just let us know.

Thank you again,
Jessica

"After hearing glowing things about Through Eternity from several friends and guidebooks, we booked a semi-private 3.5 hour tour of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums during the last week of July 2012. Best money we spent in Rome. I had previously taken a similar tour of the Vatican with a different tour company, but Through Eternity was so far and away superior in every respect that there truly was no comparison.

Our wonderful guide was John Tinto, who apparently grew up in Italy but spent significant time in the U.S. and thus spoke perfect English. Despite a few hiccups on our end at the start (e.g., arriving late to the meeting place and then realizing we had lost our camera), John was extremely gracious and understanding throughout. John led us swiftly through the maze that is the Vatican museum, and his deep knowledge and familiarity with each and every room helped us almost entirely avoid the lines and crowds and also to get the very best view of the masterpieces located in every corner. (Having been to Rome on several occasions and seen most of the sites at least twice, the Vatican -- more than any other site -- is the one for which you will want to be accompanied by an excellent guide to get the most out of your visit.)

Most impressive about Through Eternity, and John, specifically, however, was his genuine love and admiration for the various works in the Vatican, which translated into a contagious enthusiasm in sharing that love with those around him. There was not a single question we had about a single piece of work that John could not answer, and the depth of his study of Italian art history became apparent within minutes of our tour. Although we ourselves know very little about art, and are typically more interested in restaurants than art museums, John's tour left us engrossed and fascinated in a way that surprised even ourselves. John managed to be simultaneously the ultimate professor + entertainer, striking just the right balance of providing us with substantive information peppered with humorous and/or memorable color that left an indelible impression. (We will never again think of Michelangelo as a "mere" painter, sculptor that he was!)

While my prior visit to the Vatican (without Through Eternity) left me content, this tour (with Through Eternity) not only made ME want to go back, but made me want to bring back all the family and friends who'd accompanied me on my prior visit so they might also get a taste of the REAL Vatican, as it SHOULD be seen and appreciated. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND."
