Subject: We Learned A Lot!

We found John to be very pleasant, extremely professional and very very knowledgable. We learned a lot, not only about the Vatican and its museums and chapel but a lot about art history as well. Made me wish I had a better background. The group was a perfect size, only 10 which made moving through the tour at a reasonable speed possible. We really liked the use of the individual headsets with John speaking into a microphone. Not only was this easier on his voice but it made it possible for each of us to roam a bit and still hear the explanations.

First of all, I wanted to thank Pip for helping me. If it had not been you, I would not have booked the 2 tours in one day given the time constraint and traffic jam. Everything turned out smoothly and we had no regrets and all of us enjoyed the tours on the same day.

A) My comments for Marco Balestrieri – “Vatican Museums and St Peter’s Tour”

What I have learnt out from this tour I was still amazed on how excellent Marco brought out the stories of the Sistine Chapel and Michelangelo. Not only he is knowledgeable, he also cleverly puts his stories in place to make his audience thirst for more. Marco is so passionate in his work and every step of the way he had brilliantly showed us how each sculpture or painting or tapestry that had been sculpted, painted or woven had a deeper meaning – making us all ponder in awe after that. It was truly an amazing experience having Marco as our guide and even after that tour with Marco, whilst we were on our Mediterranean cruise, my sister; my friends and I were still talking about Marco. I have never met a tour guide as excellent as Marco and will definitely recommend this tour to all my clients from now on.

B) My feedback for Katia Di Lodovico – “Colosseum and Roman Forum Tour”

What I really love about this tour was Katia used simple analogy to describe of what is left today the remains of the portions of buildings, the temples, the columns or the decorative arches. She is a remarkable tour guide and I was truly impressed by her story-telling of the Colosseum during the Roman Empire. She had good knowledge and insights of each ruin (Colosseum and The Roman Forum) that I visited. Katia’s description of the Colosseum was so much alive that I could almost hear the roar of the animals and metal clashed from the gladiators’ weapons. She is so extraordinary in her narration that I must say she had made my day so enjoyable at the Colosseum and had no regrets of making the decision to book from Through Eternity.

I will definitely recommend this tour to all my clients.

Subject: Wonderful tour with Giovanni!

Giovanni was a wonderful tour guide! It was nice to be in a small group, with someone who had so much knowledge, and didn't seem to be reciting from a memorized script. He always had answers to our many questions, and took his time really diving into the history. He was great! And was so nice to take pictures for everyone as well! I would highly recommend him to everyone!

Subject: Extremely Knowledgeable and Enthusiastic Guide

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Roman Forum and the Colusseum with Alessia. She was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subject. She was patient in answering many questions and provided very interesting insights. She did not rush us even though we went over the allotted time. She was very helpful in recommending a restaurant nearby the Colosseum called the Forum to eat lunch at after the tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. She also recommended visiting the Capitaline Hill after our tour, and we would have missed it without her recommendation (though the elevator tour was not well marked so a map might be helpful at the end of the Colosseum tour).

Allesia is a gem and her tour was one of the major highlights of our trip to Rome!

Subject: Absolutely Terrific Vatican tour with Cinzia

We were privileged to tour the Vatican for 5-1/2 hours with Cinzia. She was absolutely terrific, so knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. Subject: Passionate Guide at the Vatican

Buongiorno!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our October 3 tour with Luca De Angelis. Luca was a great tour guide - very personable and funny with a clear passion for what he was talking about and very impressive depth of knowledge on so many topics. The Vatican Museums are clearly overwhelming and it was great to have such a guide to take us around. On the day of our tour there were herds of tours passing through the Vatican resulting in wall-to-wall people in many rooms. Luca never was fazed and patiently guided us and imparted his knowledge every step of the way.

We particulary liked the earpieces provided for the tour which allowed us to spread out, take pictures, look around, etc. all the while being able to listen to Luca. What a great idea!

Our only regret is that we had to leave the tour early to catch the train back to our cruise ship. We hope to return someday and will definitely use Through Eternity when we do!

Subject: Tour Exceeded Expectations

We were extremely happy with the tour done by Luca. He was very knowledgeable, accommodating and has a great personality! We were very impressed with his knowledge not just in Roman history but of the world history as well, and his ability to connect historical and religious events taking place in different regions. Subject: Angelo Represents Through Eternity With Pride

We absolutely loved the tours we had with Angelo! His professionalism was outstanding, his knowledge and passion for the subject was intense, his care for us was above and beyond what was expected. He made Florence of the past seem real to us and made our tour a living history. The four hours we had with him seemed to take all day to pass; it was so enjoyable. He represented "Through Eternity" with pride and I would definitely recommend your company and these tours to anyone. We have taken three tours in Rome, and now two in Florence and it has been the highlight of our vacation. Thank you. Subject: Expert Vatican Guide!

Marco provided the best art tour in our entire lives! His iPad presentation in the Sistine Chapel and the rest of the tour was outstanding. He was fabulous in his knowledge of art history and the Vatican generally, and he had a great ability to highlight interesting facts about the works of art. Moreover, he made the tour very enjoyable because of his excellent English and his incredible logistical abilities - the attention to detail that makes a long tour easier - such as coffee before the tour, great pacing of the tour, his ability to keep the group together, and eating lunch at 11:30 before the crowds arrived.

Many friends have visited the Vatican and complained that the crowds limited their enjoyment. Entering the Sistine Chapel before it opened to the public and having a guide as talented as Marco made our Vatican visit an art experience of a lifetime!

Subject: Something Wonderful for Everyone!

Angelo was wonderful. Passionate about his job and very humorous but most importantly informative. The pieces we explored were presented by him with great detail including artistic technique and historical significance. He takes a subject Renaissance Italy and craftily explains this diverse subject in plain terms. Although I have studied this period at University my husband was very impressed and especially loved his analogy of the David as political. So whether you have knowledge of Art history or just want to learn more there will be something wonderful to take with you. Thanks for a great morning

Subject: Not a Normal Guide!

I just want to compliment our recent Vatican tour guide Stefano D Ovidio. We took a 5-hour vatican tour 2 weeks ago and he was amazing. He seemed to have more knowledge than the normal tour guide and was very entertaining. he was also well organized and gave us the proper amount of time for lunch and potty breaks. He made our trip great!!!! We will definitely recommend him to our friends.

Subject: Two Excellent Tours

I truly enjoyed Marco as a tour guide as his vast knowledge about the Vatican brings history books alive. Well done, Marco. I will highly recommend Through Eternity tours to friends and family who will be going to Italy. I also had a great time having Katia as our tour guide for City of Caesars. Colosseum and Roman Forum.
