We went on the "Underground" tour today with Mario as our guide. He first "set the stage" and then did a great job throughout the tour. He's a value to your company

Subject: Knowledgeable and Passionate!

Our Vatican guide Laura was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about all the subjects she spoke about, she was very organised and everything ran smoothly. Obviously we were not able to see everything in the Vatican museums due to time restraints, but I feel that we were shown the most important rooms and pieces. The detail of knowledge that Laura gave us was quite something and we really felt like we had learned a lot about some of the artworks.

Unfortunately due to the conclave, we were not able visit the Sistine chapel. However, this does mean that we WILL have to visit Rome again in order to do so.

We would wholeheartedly recommend you to family and friends, and will look you up on our future visits to Rome.

Subject: John Tinto Gave Excellent Vatican and Ancient City Tours

Hello. Please consider this feedback on both the Vatican tour 4/21 as well as the 4/19 "Nero's Rome: Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill" tour with John Tinto as well.

In short, both tours were truly excellent. John was a fantastic guide in every way – courteous, patient, responsive to our interests and requests, and incredibly knowledgeable about a huge range of subject matter and history. I could never have imagined one individual with such a deep breadth of knowledge on the antiquity of Rome as well as the historical and religious elements of the Vatican and Catholic Church. But we met that unique individual in John Tinto. John never talked down to us or bored us with too much detail or academic information. His presentation always focused on the most interesting and pertinent information, placed into context that we were able to relate to, based on our modern experiences. John was also able to captivate the attention of our two sons, age 16 and 19, in a way few can. They spent less time on their mobile devices during the tours than during any activity in years.

I also want to compliment Pip especially, and also her colleague Jillian, for their candor and timely responses as I was booking the tours by email from the states. They were very helpful, responsive and honest about our tour options and never tried to sell me services I didn’t need.

I will recommend your company very highly to any of my friends and family visiting Rome. I will especially highly recommend John Tinto as the best guide we have ever had for any tour in any country/city we’ve visited.

Thank you.

Rich

Subject: We were very satisfied...

Good morning,

My wife and I throughly enjoyed the Vatican Museums and St. Peter´s tour guided by Giovanni Vergineo.

Giovanni Is very knowledgeable of the subject matter and presents it in a clear and humorous way.
He moves the tour along artfully since there is a lot of ground to cover and you are left very tired but with a feeling of satisfaction that we received a comprehensive tour in the allotted time.
I would say Giovanni is excellent!

My wife and I also enjoyed the tour with Francesca very much. She has a very friendly personality and is very knowledgeable of the history of the places we were seeing. She offers unique insights as we go along.
We were very satisfied with Francesca and the tour.

Subject: Fantastic guide!

Gabriel was fantastic, and easily one of the best guides we have experienced.

1. He had an excellent sense of pacing and timing-- he had much to say, but it never sounded forced, and he did an excellent job of tailoring the material to our interests.
2. He was also very sensitive to our needs, and offered much useful advice for our getting situated in Rome.

We could only hope that any other guides we employ can meet his level.

Please pass on our thanks once again.

John and Su Page.

Subject: Highly Recommend Monica!

We had a wonderful time with Monica in Pompeii. Although my wife and I had been there before it was the first visit for our granddaughters, ages 13 and 17. My wife and I learned many additional facts and gained a greater understanding of the site. The oldest granddaughter found this the most interesting educational experience of our visit to Italy, partially due to the organized quality explanations that Monica provided to her questions and the presentation by Monica of the lives and times of Pompeii. We would highly recommend both the tour and Monica to anyone.

Subject: Amazing Vatican Tour with Eugenia!

I had an amazing morning with my tour guide, Eugenia D’Andrea, as she explained the history and intrigue of the Vatican, the museum, and the Sistine Chapel. Eugenia was prompt at our meeting point and took the time to understand my interests and demonstrated tremendous knowledge about the history of the Vatican as well as of the artists and artwork that have adorned its walls. I discovered your company in the UK Magazine called “Italia Guide” which is a special edition of the UK Italia magazine (www.italia-magazine.com) by Anthem Publishing. Eternity Tours was highly recommended and I would agree after my experience.

Subject: Exellent Medici tour with Angelo

I thought the tour was excellent. Angelo provided an in-depth look to the degree possible at the history, art and architecture of Florence in the hours we were together. He showed us an excellent small restaurant for lunch which we enjoyed very much. Thanks for the experience.

Subject: Essence of Rome with Luca: Superbly Run!

Luca was great, and so was the tour. Well worth the investment, particularly since the weather was bad and he knew how to manage the tour around the rain.

He was extremely knowledgeable without providing a history lesson. Luca made the day come alive with interesting facts and anecdotes, and he was very personable.

The pace was perfect, as I had back issues that he was sensitive to. I guess it is hard to have a bad tour in such as city as Rome, but for 1 day we really felt we got the essence of the city and history. You came recommened to us by personal friends and we will do the same for our other friends. Thanks,

Howard

Subject: Five Incredible Private Tours: Rome, Florence and Pompeii

Hi,
This was our first trip to Italy and we booked 5 private tours with Through Eternity Tours not really knowing what to expect. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised!

We can't begin to tell you how wonderful all of the tour guides were and how they all contributed to our enjoyment. Along with being subject matter experts, they all were very friendly, personable and accommodating. They offered their native insights on the local attractions and best of all tailored the tours to our specific interests.

John Tinto did a wonderful job introducing us to the beauty of Rome at night with "The stroll of the artists: within Renaissance and Baroque Rome". The Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Piazza Navona were gorgeous. John’s commentary was lively and illuminating. We would recommend this as the first tour for anyone visiting Rome.

Katia Di Lodovico introduced us to "Nero's Rome: Colosseum (Underground and third Tier included), Roman Forum and Palatine Hill." She really made ancient Rome come alive. She helped us understand the Forum as the center of the Roman Empire. Later as we stood on the stage in the center of the Coliseum, we could imagine ourselves as gladiators and almost hear the roar of the crowd!

Giovanni Vergineo was our guide for the "Vatican Museums and St. Peter's - The In-depth Experience" Giovanni’s in-depth knowledge of the stories behind the paintings and sculptures made all the art in the Vatican Museum come to life. We particularly were impressed with the detailed way he prepared us before we saw the Sistine Chapel. It really helped us truly appreciate its timeless beauty all the more.

Angelo Alterio guided us through our tour of "The Florence of Lorenzo the Magnificent: Merchants, princes, and artists in the heart of Renaissance Italy." Angelo’s enthusiasm for Florence was contagious. His personable engaging style and his love for his city really showed through. We really enjoyed the lunch that we shared with him at a quaint local place - it was one of the best meals we had during our stay in Italy!

Bartolomeo Giusto made the journey from Rome down to Pompeii absolutely worthwhile. He did a wonderful job guiding us through "Pompeii and its Daily Life” and imparting his lifelong knowledge of the site and its history.

We can not say enough good things about our experience with Through Eternity Tours. We would highly recommend your company to anyone going to Italy who is interested in a very high quality touring experience.

Subject: We throughly enjoyed our tour!

We throughly enjoyed our tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's! Our tour guide, Laura, was extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed spending the day with her. She pointed out details in frescos that we would have never noticed. We were disappointed that we weren't able to see the Sistine Chapel but realize that this was a historic time. We are fortunate to say that we were in Italy when the new Pope was elected. A friend from the the US recommended Through Eternity to us and we will be happy to recommend it to others who may be traveling to Italy. We loved Italy and hope to return in the future.
