Subject: We learned so much
I just wanted to tell you how pleased we were with our tour of the Vatican on Thurs. March 27th. Our tour guide was Thomas Robinson and he was wonderful...the hours flew by. We learned so much (happily we won't be tested on everything we heard) and, even though we had been to the Vatican previously, this tour gave us the appreciation and background that we wanted. I will recommend you (and Thomas) to friends who are going to Tome. Ciao, Iris Bing

Subject: My thanks for 2 very great days with your guides
We had two of the nicest days with your tour guides, Thomas and Gracelyn. Thomas took us on the Rome At Night By Car Tour on our first day in Rome in March, 2008. Thomas was so pleasant, and knowledgeable, and interesting and gave us insight into all the historic sights we saw in Rome -- from the Forum to Trastevere and all Seven Hills, and the very nicest places to see Rome by night!! Thomas is a total gentleman, and he is a history genius … smart and funny and answers any crazy question you have … and the driver that works with him was totally accommodating to my Mother, who needed to limit her walking in the cold for health reasons.
The next day, Gracelyn -- my angel from Heaven -- took us on a tour of St. Peter's, Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. I will never forget or every be able to express my appreciation to Gracelyn -- for how she deftly managed my family's need (at the last minute) to walk slowly through St. Peter's Basilica due to my Mother's weak health, and then talked the guards at the Vatican Museum into loaning us a wheelchair and a pass through the long line to accommodate Mom's lifelong desire to see the Vatican despite her inability to stand in line for hours!! Gracelyn told us stories about the Saints and history of the Vatican that were so compelling, I think about certain scenes and Gracelyn's insightful information almost every day. Gracelyn is so wonderful … I am only wishing that she is still in Rome when I return with my sons to learn about the history of the Vatican and St. Peter's with her once again. She reminded me that the Michelangelo image of St. Peter in the Sistine Chapel (handing the keys back to St. Peter because he had arrived in Heaven) reminds me of me … with Gracelyn's handling of my family's tour of the Vatican, I felt like Peter … I had arrived in Heaven and I was ready to hand in the keys!! Thank you … thank you… thank you … for your kind, gentle, loving, caring help and attention while we were on our trip of a lifetime to Rome. Through Eternity … we really appreciate Thomas and Gracelyn for making our dream trip a dream!! See you again soon!!

Subject: Huge “THANK YOU”
Dear All at 'Through Eternity Tours'
Cliff and I have just returned from our short break in Rome. We would just like to say one huge 'THANK YOU' to Justin our guide on Monday. We saw everything, all at our pace, he thought of everything and I can honestly say I learned more in that one day than years of history/art etc at school. We would recommend a private tour like this to everyone, money well spent and our memories of Rome will last a life time.
Ciao Sally and Cliff

Subject: Phenomenal!
My wife and I visited Rome 1/17 - 1/23 and booked 3 different tours with "Through Eternity."
1. The Colosseum and Ancient Rome, 2. Rome at night, and 3. The Vatican. When we travel we usually try to explore on our own, but because of the vast history and complexity of Rome, coupled with our short stay, we thought that booking a tour would be a good idea. We had read nothing but good reviews about "Through Eternity" and felt they would be the best choice to help maximize our stay. To summarize our adventures in one word, "Phenomenal!" We happened to have the same tour guide for all 3 trips, Thomas Robinson. He is an absolute fountain of knowledge. He explained so many things that we never would have known otherwise. He certainly has given these tours countless times, but still his enthusiasm and passion never wavered. In addition to the main attractions, he advised us on many other points of interest as well as hidden restaurants, cafes, and gelato shops! In retrospect, we could not possibly imagine our visit to Rome without Thomas. He was our friend as well as our guide. Thank you, Through Eternity and Thomas Robinson.
Warmest Regards.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to give feed back about our wonderful tour led by Karen on January 4. It was the highlight of our European vacation! Karen is incredibly knowledgeable about history, art and architecture and really kept the attention of my two teenage sons as we toured the Colosseum and Forum. We can't thank her enough for a fabulous morning in Rome! Trish Moxon

Tour guide Anne Woodall,
We found Anne to be exceptionally compassionate with beautiful descriptive explanations of the art found within the Vatican Museum and St. Peters. She was enthused about the subject, and was able to pass that on. She made the tour totally informative and enjoyable for us
Thank you very much for the tour

Subject: Delighted
I am writing in response to your email about our recent tours with Through Eternity. My husband and I took 2 tours, the Vatican Tour, with guide, Thomas Robinson, and the Tour of Ancient Rome with Gracelyn Monaco. Both guides were excellent with respect to their knowledge as well as their presentation. We enjoyed both tours very much, though they were quite different. We found Tom extremely knowledgeable about art, history, religion and the Vatican, and our small group of 4 had a fun lunch with him as well, learning about other aspects of Roman life. Gracelyn led a great tour of Ancient Rome, and she provided lots of interesting historical and architectural information. She was charming and helpful. Finally, both guides were flexible and very responsive to questions. We were delighted with our experience, and have already recommended the tours to friends who are going to Rome.
Please send our best to Tom and Gracelyn, and thank them again.
Best,

Subject: Fabulous day in Rome
Belated thanks for a fabulous day in Rome.
We took "The Essence of Rome" walking tour in June with Nikki. I can't imagine a better guide. Nikki was articulate, knowledgeable, personable and obviously in love with Rome. She could answer any question we asked and was willing to give us all the information we wanted. I can't think of enough words or ways to express how much we enjoyed our tour with her. She knew how (and when) to get us into popular sites without wasting time in line, she knew where to find the best Gelato, and she seemed to "know" us right from the moment we met her. She also took great photos when asked -- they were well-framed and came out perfectly.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We have already recommended you to friends and family.

My husband and I went on two of your tours in Rome in January, the Colosseum tour (Nikki) and the Vatican Museums one (Thomas). Both were exceptional, led by expert and enthusiastic guides. They really enhanced our experience of Rome. I have since recommended Through Eternity to friends who are due to visit Rome. I can't think of a downside!

Subject: One of the Highlights of Our Trip
We thought our Through Eternity tour was one of the highlights of our 5 day trip to Rome.
Gracelyn was our guide through the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica - don't think we could have made it without her. She shared a lot of great historic insight, in a fun way. Her stories helped bring everything to life.
She also helped us notice the ancient Roman mosaic floors ...perhaps walked on the same floor as Caesar Augustus! We felt very fortunate to spend time in the Sistine Chapel with very minimal crowds and appreciated the time she gave us to just take it all in.
We would highly recommend your company.

Subject: Absolutely Fabulous
Our tour (Rome at Night with Gracelyn Monaco) was absolutely fabulous. Gracelyn is an amazing person, well-educated, ready to answer questions, fully knowledgeable on the subjects on which she spoke, flexible and adaptable to any situation. My friend and I were in Italy for a very short time celebrating her birthday and Gracelyn MADE her birthday. She still raves about Through Eternity and Gracelyn and how much she loved her experience. Really, I could fill pages of all the wonderful things I have to say about Gracelyn. If, for whatever reason, my friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers, or myself should be in the position to utilize Through Eternity's services in the future, I will pass on your business card and a very high recommendation. You cannot imagine how much we thoroughly enjoyed our tour!!
Thank you!!!

Subject: The Most Wonderful Experience
Dear Amanda,
I would also like to say that Karen was absolutely lovely and made our time at the Vatican the most wonderful experience we could have hoped for. She was so knowledgeable and so interested herself that she infused everything with her enthusiasm, such that my daughter and I could not help but be swept along with her clear enjoyment of the art work displayed.
So thank you for putting us together with her and arranging the tour. Quite the best tour of our whole stay, without a doubt.

Subject: Rome Came Alive
My family and I had an enjoyable and enriching 2 day walking tour of Rome in early December 2007, made possible by our excellent guide Marle.
On Day 1 we toured the Vatican. On the second day, we toured Ancient Rome, starting at the catacombs, the Appian Way, the Colosseum and ending off at the Roman Forum.
Marle is an excellent guide. With her in-depth knowledge of the history of Rome, plus humour, history came alive to us. She was energetic throughout the tour (actually, we had to ask her to stop because we were too tired to carry on!).

Subject: Excellent Job
Just a quick note of thanks to Marle Robinson. My father and I were fortunate enough to have her for three full days of site seeing in Rome. She was outstanding! And she did an excellent job of describing a lot of the Catholic Church history, but in a way that was respectful of the religion. Not an easy balancing act with my father, but she did it extremely well. Thanks again. Jeff

Subject: Your guide was wonderful
Thanks so much for letting us tour for two days with your wonderful guide Marle Robinson. We three found her just exactly what we wanted. We had two private tours with her on November 16 and 17 2007. I have never had a guide so excited about what she was doing. She constantly gave us option to be sure she was showing us what we wanted to see. None of us had any kind of art background and therefore would have been totally at a loss as to what we were looking at. She made everything exciting and completely understandable. We do look forward to having her again when we return to Rome in 18 months. Thanks so much

Subject: WONDERFUL
I have meant to e-mail my comments since the time we got back but time just got away.
We took your tours of the Vatican and Rome thru the eyes of Julius Caesar on the 20th and 21st of Sept. 2007.
We were so pleased! Our guide for the Vatican was a young lady named Maria and I want to say she is from CA but has a grandfather or another close family member living in or around Rome. She was WONDERFUL.
I was with my wife and her two sisters so that in itself should show that there were many different schools of thought needing to be pleased. She does the tour often enough that the guards all know who she is and want a little "flirt" time - all of it enjoyable. Our next tour was with Richie from FL also very enjoyable and informative. Had a nice talk on the HBO series "Rome" which had just ended. He said from a historical aspect that it was very authentic. I just wanted to pass on that you are very lucky to have two such guides and we would and will do other tours with your company.
Thanks again - John Wilson - Charleston SC

Anne - Thank you so much for the fabulous day you spent with our family in Rome.
We had only one full day there. Anne filled us with fascinating history with her knowledge geared both to the adults and children, ages 11 and 13. We spent 9 hours with her and no one was ready to go home. Her art and art history background enhanced our tour. We had a fabulous lunch at a small café by the forum and two gelato stops! When we told her we had seen the Pantheon she took us to lesser known piazzas and gave us interesting historical tidbits.
I will absolutely recommend Through Eternity to friends visiting Rome

Hello All
This is a message for Gracelyn Monaco, a wonderful tour guide that we had in Rome a few weeks ago. Gracelyn, I hope this note finds you well and happily guiding tours in Rome still! It's me, Jennifer: you led me, my fiancee Kevin, and my parents Bob and Kathy Butlak around Rome for a great and thoroughly exhausting day in mid October. Friday October 5, I believe. I have just now gotten a chance to catch my breath and get around to returning emails from so long ago.
I just wanted to thank you so very much for a wonderful day with us- your knowledge of the city was, besides encyclopedic, hugely valuable for all of us. You knew every nook and cranny of the city, with all it's tourist in's and out's to boot. We had a great time, and it was lovely to make your acquaintance. If you ever come back to New York, you should look us up!
Hope you are well and thanks again (belatedly) for such a nice day in Rome!

Subject: Your guides are amazing
First of all, I apologize for taking as long as I have to write this note to you. My wife and I came to Rome for a vacation in September. We had tours with Marle, Maria, and Sarah. We really can't adequately express how impressed we were with all of them. I had investigated the possibility of arranging for private tour guides for one or more tours while in Rome in order to get something other than a "standard" tour not much more than reading a guide book.
We decided to go with your company because of a combination of on-line reviews we read and the descriptions on your web site. I have to say that we were more than pleasantly surprised. Your guides are amazing. They have degrees in relevant fields, they very clearly love what they do and the company they work for, and all were an absolute delight. I really didn't have a lot of education in art before coming. I did, however, learn more about world art history on the Vatican tour than I had learned in my entire life. Marle was fantastic. In contrast, I have read books recently on the history of ancient Rome. Nevertheless, I learned a great deal more on that tour as well. The twilight tour of Rome isn't as purely educational as either of the others, but the sites are great, Rome is magnificent at night, and what we learned was of a more contemporary and "real people and real life" type.
All the tours were a pleasure and we couldn't be more pleased. We talked to some folks in Sorrento later in our trip who were headed for Rome and we gave them a business card that one of the guides gave us and strongly recommended they use you folks. Thanks so much for making our trip to Rome as memorable as it was.
Please pass on our appreciation and regards to Marle, Sarah, and Maria.

Subject: Many fond memories
Amanda,
I wanted to let you know that we truly enjoyed our immersion tour. There is no better way to experience Rome. Marle is an excellent guide, and she exceeded all of our expectations. She did a great job of pacing the tour, explaining the historical context and helping us to really gain an appreciation for the city. We were amazed amazed at how much we saw, experienced and learned in just a couple of days. Marle left us with many fond memories of the trip, and we enjoyed getting to know her.
We've already recommended Through Eternity to friends, and will continue to do so. We're looking forward to returning to Rome again, and will certainly contact you to arrange another tour with Marle.

Subject: Amazing
Amanda & Jeanne,
I have been remiss in not writing sooner. On Thursday October 11th, my wife & I had a tour arranged with your company. Unfortunately due to timing on our disembarkation from the cruise ship we were unable to make our original time. Not only did your company go out of their way to accommodate us on extremely short notice but their suggestion of touring the Vatican only was a wise one. Our guide for this tour was Marle & she was amazing!!
Her intimate knowledge of the history of both the Vatican & Rome in general was incredible. There was not a single question that I asked (and believe me I asked many) that she did not have a detailed answer for. She was a pleasure to spend time with & I would highly recommend her to anyone who may be coming to Rome.
Please pass along our sincere thanks to her from both my wife, Cindy, & myself.
Rest assured that when we know of someone traveling to Rome your company will be recommended to them.
Kindest regards,
Cindy & David Stead

Subject: Expectations were far exceeded
Ciao! I am happy to share my thoughts about my Through Eternity tours. I have very happily shared my wonderful experiences with all my friends and family, so I might as well tell you. This was my first visit to Rome, and my expectations were far exceeded. Rome is a beautiful, unique city, and Romans are very friendly and helpful to tourists. I only had 3 days in Rome, so I wanted to see the highlights, but I wish I had planned to spend more time there.
My tour of Palatine Hill and the Colosseum with Marle Robinson was wonderful. Marle was very entertaining as well as informative. She has so much personality and made the tour fun and educational. I especially enjoyed the time that Marle took with our group. Her knowledge of and interest in all aspects of Roman history and culture are very impressive. I didn't want the tour to end.
My tour of Vatican City with Anne Woodall was also awe-inspiring. Anne was a lot of fun also and very patient and good-natured with our large group. I enjoyed talking to Anne about everyday life in Rome. Her knowledge of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica was overwhelming, and I'm sure there was more in her memory banks that she just didn't have time to share. The only complaint I have about this tour was the crowds, which I realize is completely out of your control; however, it did detract from the reverence of the place. Still, it was a very memorable day for me.
I would definitely take another of your tours in the future and, as I said, have and will recommend your tours to others. I only wish that you offered tours in other cities, as I hope to visit Florence, Siena and Venice next year.
Thanks very much to Marle and Anne for making my short visit in Rome so much richer!
Mille grazie!!!

Subject: Wonderful experience
Hello there! Our tour of the Vatican with Through Eternity Rome was one of the highlights of our trip. We had booked it from home (which is Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) after comparing a few tour companies. My husband is into art and history, so we thought that Eternity would give us the "biggest bang for our buck". And we were completely right! Gabriel was our tour guide and he was a wealth of information, plus being extremely patient. We set up our tour on my birthday, October 2, 2007, and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday present. Rome was our last stop on a month long holiday of Italy, so we had already gone on quite a few tours (Pisa, Uffizi, City tour of Milan, etc., you get the picture), and we both agree that the Vatican tour was the best by far. We really liked the fact that the groups were small, and if I was to take another of your tours, I would certainly ask to have Gabriel as the guide. His knowledge of art and the Catholic church was phenomenal, and gave us a much better understanding of everything we were seeing. Thank you once again for a wonderful experience.

Subject: Tremendously impressed
This is a bit belated, but we wanted to relay how tremendously impressed we were by the tour we took of St. Peter's on Saturday, September 15. Our guide, Jen (from Boise, I think), was simply unbelievable. Her knowledge of the Vatican was impressive, but so was her discussion of the art, which was always thorough and insightful without being pedantic. That day remains one of the highlights of our trip to Rome, and we haven't re-told our trip to Italy once without mentioning how impressed we were by the tour. So Jen, thanks for the tour -- and also for the restaurant tips in Trastevere, which were also much appreciated. We've never been "tour people" but that day at the Vatican may have been a conversion experience of sorts.

We would like to thank Marle and Through Eternity for a fascinating day spent at the Vatican, October 30. Marle's professionalism, and of course her humor and insight, provided us with a wonderful experience. The history of the Vatican was brought to life by her very interesting explanations of all we were seeing. We were actually glad that we had to wait in line because it gave Marle time to tell the stories of the Popes and the Vatican, as well as in depth information about the wonders we would view.
Please let Marle know how much we appreciated our day with her. We look forward to our next visit to Rome, and will definitely engage Through Eternity again to enhance our visit.
Thanks for a wonderful day.

My husband and I recently toured the Colosseum and Forum with Thomas. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Italy. We travel frequently and try to book walking tours when available. I can honestly say that this was the most superb tour we have ever been on. Thomas was an amazing storyteller with a both a depth and breadth of knowledge that I know we only scratched the surface of. He truly made history vibrant and engaging with his dynamic style and great interpersonal skills.
I'm so sorry we didn't take your Vatican tour. We took the tour offered by the Vatican itself. Unfortunately, the guide was dry and provided no context for what we were seeing. I wish we had had more time to schedule another tour with you. Rest assured that the next time we are in Roma, we will sign up for another of your tours. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We (Rosemary, Walter, Sharon and Paul) would just like to say what a wonderful day we had whilst in Rome with your fantastic guide Nikki on 3rd Oct. We are back home now and have been singing her praises to all and sundry so hopefully you will be hearing from more Aussies in the future. We were a little worried having booked a guide for a whole day but she was fantastic. She made sure we had an action packed day making it great fun and a great learning experience despite the 37deg heat. Please give her a huge pat on the back for us - you are very lucky to have her

We have arrived back home in the States and wanted to drop you an email to say how pleased we were with your tours in Rome and Florence, Italy. Sara was a delight for the "Immersion in Rome" and Ignazio was well versed in the history of Florence. We enjoyed Janet for the "Rome at Night" tour also. In September we four booked a Vatican/Sistine Chapel tour through you. Our guide was Sarah Grunwald. For two weeks in Italy we did private tours and we all agree Sarah was our best guide. The Vatican was awesome, but made far more interesting by Sarah. We stood in line for 1 1/4 hours for the Sistine Chapel, but the time flew by because she never stopped talking. We learned far more than we could retain!!
When we were in Sorrento a few days later I became acquainted with a group on their way to Rome in a panic because they had no tours booked. I gave them your number, they called you and booked for a day of touring. I'm sure they enjoyed it as much as we did. I'm a travel agent but, commission or no commission, I would want my clients to tour Rome with your company.
Please forward to Sarah

Subject: Most rewarding experience
Dear Jeanne,
I want to thank you and all the people at Through Eternity Tours for the wonderful experience that my wife and I had during our eight days in Rome. I realize that many people would not decide to have eight days of private tours, but we found it a most rewarding and comfortable experience. All of the tour guides assigned to us were extremely informative, and they all went the extra mile to make our visit less difficult by calling taxis and finding restaurants, grocery stores, and even park benches. We highly recommend that any future visitor to Rome consider having one or more private tours with your company. For us, tour guides are the best way to see and learn about Rome. As we review the hundreds of pictures we took, we remember fondly how the guides explained the sights and answered our questions. We highly recommend Through Eternity Tours to anyone who is seriously, and even moderately interested, in learning about ancient Roman history. If all goes well, we would like to return to Rome perhaps in May of 2008.

Hello,
We have just returned back to the real world after spending time in Rome and Florence.
We would like to thank you for your superb tour services. We spent 2 days with Marle in Rome. She is truly a special person. She is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely passionate with regard to art, Roman history, and the influences of one upon the other. We were able to see and experience things that we would not have been able to do on our own.
In Florence, our guide was Ignazio who is also very well versed in the art and history of the sites and city. Again, we were able to experience Florence in ways that we would never have been able to on our own. Thank you to your company and to both of our guides. I hope you will share our true appreciation with both of them.

Hello Jennifer,
We took you tour of the Vatican on Friday October 19, 2007 (the couple from Canada). We found your tour exceptionally informative, interesting and enjoyable. Jennifer thank you so much for the wonderful experience. Just being able to navigate St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel was worth the cost of the tour. Then your non stop dialog on religion, art and history was the "halo" on the day. We will recommend you to our friends. Again, we cannot thank you enough for that very memorable experience.

Subject: Bringing the past to life through stories
I wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our tour with Thomas at the Vatican. He has a gift for sharing his wealth of knowledge in a most interesting and entertaining way. I have never been a history person - more of a numbers and computer type - but he has sparked an interest in history by bringing the past to life through his stories. My husband on the other hand is a history buff (opposites do attract) and he was also very pleased with the time we spent with Thomas and enjoyed Thomas' thought provoking questions that were sprinkled through out the day.
I am sorry to say that we had two other tours with Angel Tours in Rome earlier in the week and there is no absolutely comparison! I will recommend your company to all my friends who travel to Rome.
Thanks again,
Sandy

Amanda,
I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how enjoyable your company has made our first endeavor to Italy! Your initial set up of our tours and car service made our visit extremely comfortable. I also want you to know what a great guide we had!! We could not have been anymore pleased than we were with Jennifer!! Such a knowledgable and pleasant young Lady! I will go to the travel internet sites and give your company great reviews as well as recommending your services to anyone I may know coming to Rome.

Subject: Private Tour – Our very special day
We just returned from our trip to Rome and our Through Eternity Tour that we took on Friday, October 19th with Marle (the South African lady). My family (my husband and two adult step-daughters) had a wonderful time. Marle picked us up from the hotel and walked us through the area around our hotel, explaining some history of the Vatican and Papal residences.
We grabbed a cab over to the Vatican and had a very quick (and lucky) 45 min. wait in line. Marle spent hours giving us fabulous insight of the Vatican as we toured the museums and St. Peter's Basilica. She gave us the chance to choose locations and we never felt rushed in any way. It was a fantastic way of seeing the Vatican and to learn about the history of the church. So often, we walk through museums and not appreciate what we're looking at. Marle brought everything to life and we learned a great deal - we felt her appreciation and love of what we were seeing and it made our day very special. We really enjoyed our tour with her and were sad to see her leave! I understand why your company receives such strong praise when you have individuals like Marle working for you. We have raved to our friends about our Italy vacation and the Vatican Tour with Through Eternity was certainly a highlight! We had great hopes of returning to Rome again and spend more time in that wonderful city.
Many thanks.

My wife and I want to pass on our thanks to Gabriel for the great tour of the St Peters and the Vatican museums.
It was a highlight of our time in Europe. Gabriel was a great font of knowledge and his commentary was delivered with energy, wit and grace. We also did the Caesars tour which was very informative. We would not have gained anywhere near the appreciation of the place that we did had it not been for the tour.

Subject: Wonderful tour!
My husband Gary and I recently returned from Rome where we had a wonderful Palantine Hill tour with Marle Robinson.
She was very informative and enthusiastic, and helped bring to life part of the history of ancient Rome. She was most amenable to questions, and we thoroughly enjoyed the discussions that we had. We had had a tour with Marle two years ago, (the Colosseum, and the Forum],and we were quite pleased that she would be our guide for this tour ! She never appeared rushed, and was very generous with her time,[ inspite of being a tour guide all that morning] . We have been most pleased with our many contacts with Through Eternity, and have found that the company adds so much to our enjoyment and understanding of Rome. We look forward to more associations in the future!

Subject: Absolutely terrific!
Dear Amanda,
We returned to Australia last week and I just wanted to email you to thank you for organising tours for us.
On Monday 17 September, Justin met us at our hotel and took us on a guided tour of the Colosseum and the Forum. He was absolutely terrific and a wealth of information and good company also. I gather he is fairly new with your company and I just wanted to let you know what a great asset you have in him.
Tuesday 18 September, Sarah took us on a guided tour of the Vatican and once again, we were very impressed with the time she spent with us. She too was great company. Both Justin and Sarah were passionate about their subjects and were first class tour guides - we learned so much! Sarah gave us a couple of recommendations for restaurants which were great also.
Before booking with your organisation, I did like everyone else and researched other companies too. We are so glad we booked with you - it was worth every penny.
Thank you and please pass on our best wishes and thanks to Justin and Sarah.

I justed wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our tours while we were in Rome. Janet and Nikki who toured the Borghese and Vatican with us were just delightful. They were professional, knowledgeable and very personable. I don't think we would have gotten as much out of both places had we done it on our own. The tours were the highlight of our stay.
After Rome we went on to other places such as Florence and Venice. We visited several basilicas and museums on our own, and we then really appreciated how much having a guide lends to the experience. We wish we had Janet and Nikki with us! What we saw was very overwhelming.
So, thank you again. And if we are ever in Rome, we will contact you for sure.

Hi Amanda,
I just wanted to say that our two day Immersion tour was tremendous. Jennifer was extremely knowledgeable, very interesting, did a tremendous job adjusting the tour to our interests (which changed throughout the tour itself) and was just a great person to hang out with in general. Many, many thanks to you and Jennifer for all of your help. This was a tremendous experience for all of us. I will certainly let any of my colleagues that are traveling to Rome know that your tour should be an essential part of their itinerary.
Please pass our thanks and best wishes on to Jennifer as well. Thanks again Amanda and I hope that I'll have the opportunity to visit Rome and work with you again in the future.

Subject: An amazing tour.
To the President of Through Eternity,
I would just like to tell you what an amazing time we had with Thomas.
My husband and I were in Rome last week and went on the Vatican tour with Thomas Robinson. We had been in Italy for about a month and had been on many a tour however this was the first with your company. Thomas is by far the most informed guide on the topic of a tour that we have ever come across. He is an amazing speaker and was so interesting when he was describing all of the amazing and beautiful sights we saw. We spent an incredibly long day with Thomas but it the end I was not ready to leave him as he was such a fountain of knowledge. There was not a question put to him that he could not answer.
I felt it was important to send a message about what an amazing employee you have. We are usually very quick to complain about people but not so quick to give credit where it is due. You are very fortunate to have someone like Thomas on your team and I will be telling everyone I know about your company and specifically Thomas.
Please give Thomas our thanks again for making our visit to Rome that much more memorable.

Subject: One of the best values
We just returned home late last night from Rome, but wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our 2 day walking tour with Marle. Because we had briefly visited Rome on our own a few years ago, this time we really wanted an in-depth tour and better understanding of this amazing city. Marle was knowledgeable, gracious and shared a wide variety of interesting information with our group of 4 adults – including an insight to the current culture of Rome.
Of course, we spent many wonderful hours touring ancient Rome, museums and churches – but also spent some time relaxing and enjoying lunch or drinks away from the tourist crowd getting a small taste of the ‘real’ Roma. We highly recommend Merle and the personal 2-day walking tour. It was one of the best values that we found in Italy on our 18 day holiday!

Subject: Most Inspiring Day
Dear Jeanne,
We have returned to Ottawa Canada after a fabulous cruise through three countries that concluded with a
most inspiring day with Marle in Rome last Sunday.
I would like to thank you for your work in arranging for Marle to be with us that day, as she is indeed a
knowledgeable, caring and compassionate guide who obviously enjoys her work. We felt we were able
to take in a lot of Rome in such a short time due to her skill, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. This is
an apparent unique quality she has to be able to organize time for her clients in a sensitive way to create an
experience as opposed to an excursion. And we parted at St. Peters five minutes before vespers. (I had not
told her beforehand that I had initially planned to go on my own long after I would have thought our time
together would have finished!) She is a gem!
As I said earlier, we originally came from the cruise ship Carnival Freedom as a party of about 35, mostly
singers from a Swiss Choir. One of our members is an independent travel agent, and she is definitely
interested in your services for future customers. I myself shall be submitting my recommendation for your
company to the cruisecritic forum of which I am a member.
Thanks for your kind assistance,
Best regards,
Peter

Subject: Brilliant tours!
Jeanne,
We have just returned from Rome and would like to give you some feedback on the tours which we had
arranged with you.
On Saturday we had a brilliant tour of the Vatican with Jennifer and Sarah. Although the queue seemed
interminable, they kept us entertained and informed during the 2-hour wait. Inside, Jennifer was a mine of
information and we would not have been able to appreciate what we were seeing without her guidance. A
most worthwhile day.
On Tuesday, we again had Jennifer for a tour of the Colosseum and Forum and equally enjoyed her
explanation of where we were and its significance in Roman history. We decided not to continue to the
Capitoline Museum - lack of energy, not lack of interest! Perhaps we can pick up on that on our next visit.
This was my first visit to Rome and I had not realised how much there is to see. Taking your tours ensured
that we made the most of our time at both the Vatican and the Colosseum.
Thank you, once again!

Our family of five (including three kids ages 16, 13 and 10) booked three days of full day tours in Rome in
July 2007 via your service. Janet was our guide everyday. It was simply fantastic! Janet had incredible
knowledge of the art and history and made the sights come alive for the kids. She knew marvelous places to
eat, stood in line for us, and told us incredible historical stories. I would urge every family that visits Rome to
skip the mob or cattle tourist buses and book a private tour – it was the best value for money on our entire

I wanted to let you know what a great tour we had with your company during my family's recent trip to

great job of adapting the tour to the interests of my family. It was so nice that she knew the ins and outs of

I’d like to add the following comments for the 3 tours we took recently:
June 27th, Colosseum & Roman Forum with Rob and Rome at Twilight with Ann.
June 28th with Jennifer at St Peter’s Basilica & Vatican Museums.
All 3 tours were excellent and completely met our expectations. We love Rome so much more because of all
3 tour leaders’ knowledge and experience that were clearly demonstrated to us. Each leader was very

Hello Amanda!
This is EXTREMELY overdue, but, better late than not at all!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Karen, and of course, Karen herself. I would not hesitate to
recommend her, or Through Eternity, and in fact have recommended to 2 others who will be travelling to
Rome in September. Another friend was in Rome shortly after we were and used another tour company -
not impressed with the guide at all, who seemed to be limited in her knowledge and assistance. Not
an 'angel' like our Karen!
We have been back home almost 2 months now, and it still seems so unreal that we were in Rome and the
many other places that we visited. Rome is definitely a place that we all plan to return (even though we did
not get to the Trevi fountain - all the more reason to go back!).
Again, thanks to you and your assistance, and I will definitely be in touch when we're ready to plan our
return!

Amanda,
Just a quick note of compliment for the tour that my wife, Kim, and I went on last week. We took the Vatican
tour last Thursday, June 28th with Nicki (apologizes if the spelling is off), and she was outstanding. We could
not have had a better time. Her passion for art is infectious, to be sure. I’m sure we would have struggled to
manage the crowds on our own, and missed out on so much. On top of that, her recommendation for the
pizza spot for lunch near the Vatican and the gnocchi in Trastevere were the two of the best food finds on
our trip.
I appreciate your help. The timing didn’t work out this time to do further tours, but if we are back in Rome
we’ll be calling again, I’m sure. Take care.

Subject: Incredible!
Amanda and Jeanne,
Thanks again for setting up the tours with Eternity. I was a little unsure about which tour company to use or
which tours to choose from and Eternity made it efficient and enjoyable. Your responses back via email
were incredible...within hours or minutes from my requests...and changes!
The tour guidance your company provided made our trip to Rome quite enjoyable, even with hard to please
teenage boys. Each of your tour guides/teachers were quite adaptable to the situation making it flow very
nicely. The Twilight tour with Marle provided some of the most dramatic and incredible views of the city, and
her insight and knowledge of the area was quite impressive as she informed us of the sites (without having
to look or point). We greatly enjoyed the Coliseum tour with Tom, as he replicated speeches that Caesar
gave two-thousand years ago (during the 90 degree heat), in fact my middle son enjoyed it so much he
talked about days later on our plane trip back home. Finally, for the Vatican tour, Jennifer (from California)
modified/planned the tour so we could see the Vatican without waiting hours on line. Her knowledge coupled
with her energetic and expressive personality gave us all a rememberence of Rome that we won't forget.
You have a great group of guides and their individualism makes your tours stand out from the rest!

Subject: Entertaining and educational
We were delightfully educated June 15th on a Vatican tour with Janet. Our tour was entertaining as well as
educational, with thematic continuity to her commentary. She got us up close to the art despite the crowds,
and looked out for us (my mom is 71). Her answers to questions were informed and detailed. Her
comments were knowledgeable and respectfully irreverent, which our group appreciated. She respected our
intelligence, challenging us to answer her questions as well, and excited our imagination. I had been to the
Vatican before accompanied by a guide book, but there was no comparison to a real guide. I appreciated
not having to work through a foreign accent while processing what I was hearing. Janet also impressed me
with her physical stamina - especially in light of her fractured ankle the past year. Having lunch mid tour was
a great break. The tour was well worth the cost, and I enjoyed what I learned and marveled at what I saw.

Not enough praises for the Highlight of our Vacation of a lifetime. The Tours by Robert Alyn and Nikki
Hotvedt were outstanding! The two 18 year olds with us absorbed all they could and were drawn in and
totally absorbed by the two talents assigned to our tours. We were tired puppies from a port intensive tour

he was crushed about the loss of photos from the Vatican and that tour, more that the entire cruise and 5
ports of call! So a huge thanks to Robert. Also, Nikki! The tour of the Forum / Coliseum was an exercise in
commentative elegance and passion! Jason and Jeff are still talking about this tour and my husband dan gas
been engaged in conversation with us ever since! we watched a Discover channel show on Construction

Subject: Our tours were the Highlights of our 10 day trip to Italy
Dear Amanda –
Our family of five returned from a 10 day trip to Italy in mid-June and the highlights of our trip were clearly
our two tours with Through Eternity guides. We began on 6/11/07 with a small group tour of the Vatican with
Janet. Her knowledge of the artwork and history was amazing, but it was her touch for the little things that
made our day. From her perfect timing of a late afternoon second-look into St. Peter’s Basilica to see the
amazing shafts of light from the afternoon sun to her clever “homework assignments” to our teenagers on the
geometric mysteries of the St. Peter’s Square, she kept our interest and left us with a great respect for the
architectural and historical wonders.
Later in the week, we arranged a custom all-day private tour with Marle Robinson. From lunch on the
Appian Way to visiting the catacombs, to the more traditional sites of the Roman Forum and Coliseum, Marle
used her humor and energy to make the day fly by. Our teens especially appreciated her extensive
knowledge of the little wonders of Rome, such as finding a perfect custom paper shop for our daughter to her
“secret” access to a back-side view of the famous Trevi Fountain. From art to history to just navigating the
chaos of Rome’s streets, Marle was an invaluable source of information. It would have taken us days to find
the same sites on our own, and we would have missed Marle’s delightful commentary and insights into
ancient and modern Roman life. We enthusiastically recommend her to all!
Thanks again for helping us to arrange these tours. We will certainly recommend Through Eternity to all of
our friends.

Amanda,
We have returned from vacation, and are writing to tell you what I am sure you already know....Through
Eternity Tours is great. Tom was a fabulous guide and the tour was better than we could have imagined.
Because of Tom's knowledge, we got a "big picture" view of ancient Rome, an integration of history and
physical remains. This wasvery satisfying and enjoyable. Please pass on to Tom our greetings and thanks.

Subject: Splendid!
Dear Amanda and Nikki
Please accept our most sincere thanks for all which you ladies did to make our visit to Rome
so delightful and memorable. From our baptism as we left the Colosseum to crowded floor
of the Sistine Chapel to the heavenly gelateria with 50 plus flavors, Nikki was a splendid,
gracious guide and friend; patient with our eccentricities and treatingus so considerately.
The wine-bar visit and post tour dinner were great, and we appreciated so much the
opportunity to become acquainted and to share ourselves in such realistic informality. Itwas
the high point of our visit to Rome. You have special places in our memory and hearts.
Your man in Florence, Ignazio, was warm and thoughtful. Doti had injured her foot and he
arranged for wheel chairs in several of our Florence visits; namely the Pitti Palace and the
Academy. This also gave us extra access to some places where tours are not invited.
His flexibility and initiative helped Doti ease through a very busy day. Of course, the fact
that she wore my shoes (her foot became swollen) may have helped a bit also.
Thank you again, dear friends. We are writing a full report to brother Rick Steves' and
will update him on Through Eternity Tours--and especially Amanda and Nikki. Stay well,
and God bless you.

Jennifer was our tour guide. She did an awesome job andwe could not have been more pleased. Jennifer
was not just doing her job. She was very personable and exceptionally knowledgeable. When we got to the
Pantheon on the Twilight Tour, it was closed but Jennifer told us that we should make a special effort to get
back to see the inside. Please let her know that we did manage to get back to the Pantheon, in between our
shopping, on our last day before we left Italy for New Orleans. We all decided that we would certainly have

Our two day Rome experience with Nikki during April was the absolute highlight of our visit to Italy. We
learned so much from her about history and art, and found her voice constantly echoing in our minds as we
continued on to Florence. What was as fascinating to us as the background on ancient Rome was an
understanding about Rome/Italy today and what it is like to live there. Besides being full of information, Nikki
was enthusiastic, positive, and gracious; she helped us with places to eat and other things to do and treated
us like good friends, which we loved.
Thanks so much for an incredible start to our Italian vacation. We had a wonderful time!

On Easter we were showing family and friends photos of the Colosseum and Forum from our tour with Niki in February and it dawned on me that I had never sent a note of appreciation to her (and Through Eternity)! It was a beautiful day and our family of three was fortunate to have Niki almost all to ourselves (one other nice couple from Vermont was also part of Niki's group that day)! She was a hit with our 17 year old son who will be majoring in Classical History/Latin & Greek in college year after next. She was enthusiastic, eager to answer questions and full of interesting information. At the end of the tour we asked if she had any recommendations of restaurants for lunch which we straight away followed - much to our delight. The ricotta stuffed squash blossoms and seafood risotto melted in our mouths! Please send Niki our very best and kudos to Through Eternity for having such a pleasant and professional guide. Hi,
My name is Allan Randle and I am from Melbourne, Australia. My family visited Rome during March 2007, and were absolutely delighted with your tours. Our tour guide for St Peters and the Vatican Museum (Jennifer) was excellent. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a delight to be around.
We also thoroughly enjoyed Janet's Colosseum and Roman Forum tour. Her stories were colourful, entertaining and made us feel like we were living in ancient Rome. Our final tour (Rome Twilight) was fantastic. Tom is an amazing tour guide who possesses a wealth of knowledge, and a natural ability to entertain and captivate an audience. We felt time passed too quickly during the Rome Twilight tour.
In closing, thank you for the wonderful memories of Rome. Your tours were the highlight of our round the world trip, and we will be singing your praises to everyone.

We are now all home, have unpacked, and are still trying to get back into U.S. time!
We had an Italian meal for the group's parents, confirmation sponsors, and our parish priest a week after we returned. Carl prepared a movie of some of the 1500 pictures that the kids took and shared it with the group. As each picture came up, there was another story - each involving some aspect of Through Eternity tours! Be it about Thomas, Rob, or Carl calling you, Amanda, for directions - we all laughed uncontrollably - and then saw that we were also crying. You all will never know how much you touched the lives of these 6 kids (and their sponsors).
None of us can believe we were actually in Rome - and what a huge partThrough Eternity Tours played in making our memories so wonderful. Your kindness was above and beyond - and will be rememberedforever!

Dear Amanda
Finally I have found the time to let you know how wonderful we thought our day with Thomas was in early January. All of us from thirteen to fifty-something had a great day that we will always remember.
Your organisation is extremely fortunate to have somebody like Thomas who was not only charming, knowledgable and entertaining but seemed to have perfect timing throughout the day - being in the Sistine Chapel at the end of the day as the crowd dispersed and then St Peter's in the early evening was perfect.
To engage four teenagers for eight hours these days without any electronic devices is very impressive - I know it's Rome but.....
We would certainly recommend you to any of my friends travelling to Rome even if they have been to there previously as we (the adults) had and when next in Rome would certainly consider doing another of your tours.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to thank you for the great tours we had with your company while in Rome. On Sept. 19th we had a private tour with Andrew of the Palatine Hill, the Colosseum and the Forum. I just cannot emphasize how great he was! He was enthusiastic about his subject- it made us want to ask questions and really learn while on vacation! I am so glad we chose to do a private tour. Andrew was able to really tailor our tour based on our interests and requests. We saw so many huge groups struggling to keep together and hear their leader while we were at the Colosseum. Not us! I would definitely recommend my friends and family to do this private tour and to ask for Andrew.
Later that night we also did a group tour with Niki- the "Rome at Twilight" tour. She was also fantastic. You could tell she had a true appreciation for art and artists of the Rennaissance. I was amazed she could keep so many facts and Italian names straight in her head! Our group was small-about 10 people. So it was a nice size. Niki was able to talk to us and lead us around without us feeling like a big heard of cattle. She suggested a few restaurants for us after the tour. A group of us went to one in the Jewish Ghetto and it was one of our top 2 meals while on vacation.
Our guides were so nice and personable that we asked each of them to eat with us afterwards- we were sad that they couldn't join us! Andrew and Niki are both assets to your company. They are knowledgable but fun! Our tours were jam packed with history. When I made my scrapbook and brought it to work, everyone commented on all of the history I included in the journaling. Well, I learned so much from your tours- it made the city come alive in a way we may not have experienced without your awesome guides! So, thank you,
and thank them!, very much!

Dear Sirs,
On September 28th of this year, our group of four met in Piazza Pio XII to await our tour guide from your Company. Promptly and smiling, Tatiana arrived, and from the get-go we were not only impressed by her knowledge but also by her genuine giving and enthusiastic attitude. We had visited the Vatican on previous occasions and although the experience is without a doubt overwhelming, Tatiana made sure this trip became truly unforgettable.
We saw things none of us had ever seen on our earlier visits, and we were even able to see the same things from before under a different light. Her ability to combine fascinating facts with an appropriate sense of humor was a delight. Even the timing was perfect. Unlike before, this time we were all pleasantly surprised that the line to enter the Museums took no longer than ten minutes.
We were fairly certain we were going to enjoy the tour since it came highly recommended from Frommer’s. However, we can honestly say that the experience more than surpassed our expectations. Since then, we have done nothing else than discuss this particular part of our trip with utter satisfaction and enthralled contemplation.
We sincerely commend you for having in your staff people like Tatiana, who unpretentiously manages to leave her very unique mark among the visitors to one of the world’s most incredible places.
Most sincerely,
Elva Mattia and Alexandra N. Santillan, Miami, FL 33175

Jim and I both wanted to say how much we enjoyed our day with Danny Belinkie. His knowledge and enthusiasm really made historic Rome come alive. I was in Rome in 1982, but realized after spending the day with Danny, I may have seen some of the sights, but I really didn't understand anything of what I saw. Thanks so much. We will surely recommend your service to anyone we know who will be visiting your wonderful city!

Subject: Best tour guide ever
Thanks so much for enriching our recent Rome visit with your services. My husband, daughter, and I took your tour of St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museum, and the Sistine Chapel. Rob Allyn from Connecticut was our tour guide. Over the years we have had many excellent tours and tour guides, but Rob was our best tour guide ever. Our tour was longer than expected because of the waiting times caused by a day long rain, but we later decided that the inclement weather was a blessing in disguise since it prolonged our exposure to Rob’s vast knowledge of rich related information. He filled the waiting times as if they had been planned. He never seemed to tire or become impatient. His wealth of knowledge amazed us, and his good manners and way of relating to those on the tour were commendable. Our one regret was that we could not stay longer and book another tour with him.
Thank you again for providing a superlative tour package and experience.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about our tour with Andrew. He was prompt, friendly, and able to share he vast wealth of knowledge with us in an easy going manner. He made Rome come to life before our eyes. We travel a lot and are used to private tours. This one was the best we've ever taken. It is worth every penn
