Your Chocolate Experience Host welcomes you personally and shares the history and heritage behind The Italian Chocolate 1971, before guiding you through Collection No. 1, A Taste of Tuscany, learning the ingredients, flavor profile, and inspiration behind each piece as you taste. That’s the experience at its simplest: about 30 minutes, unhurried, and complete in itself. But it’s also just the starting point. From here, you choose how far to take it — a glass of selected Tuscan wine, a spread of Tuscan antipasto, a second chocolate collection, Vin Santo and artisan Cantucci, an espresso to finish, even a luxury gift box to take home. Add everything and the 30-minute introduction becomes a full hour with The Atelier 1971, the Complete Atelier Experience. There’s no set path — only the one you build.

A Short Introduction to Italian Chocolate

Your experience begins with a personal welcome from your Chocolate Experience Host, followed by a short introduction to The Atelier 1971, its history, and its approach to Italian chocolate. You’ll learn where the chocolates come from and what to look for as you taste them.

Collection No. 1: A Taste of Tuscany

The core experience is a guided tasting of Collection No. 1, A Taste of Tuscany. Your host introduces each chocolate, explaining its ingredients, flavors, and Tuscan inspiration as you taste. The tasting takes around 30 minutes and gives you a focused introduction to the collection.

Customize Your Tasting

You can then add to the experience according to your tastes and the time you have available. Choose a glass of selected Tuscan wine from Podere dell’Anselmo, accompanied by a short introduction to the vineyard and the pairing. Add a Tuscan antipasto platter of burrata and tomatoes, Prosciutto di Parma and melon, Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino with preserves, artisan bread, and olive oil. Continue with a second guided tasting of Collection No. 2, A Taste of Summer, or pair your chocolates with Vin Santo and artisan Cantucci. Finish with an espresso or choose a Limited Edition Firenze gift box, personalized with chocolates from either collection. Choose as much or as little as you like. The base tasting is complete on its own, while the additions let you turn it into a longer afternoon centered on the flavors of Tuscany.
