The Eternal City at its Best

A Magnificent Two Day Adventure in Rome

Who Should Book the Rome in 2 Days Tour?

Not a history buff? Don’t worry, at Through Eternity, we are experts in blending fun facts with captivating stories, so everyone stays engaged. This experience is perfect for couples, families, first-time visitors to Rome, and those keen not to miss a single highlight.

What Happens if the Weather is Bad?

Over 25 years of experience means we have conducted these tours in every conceivable weather condition. And honestly, when we ask our guides which tours they remember the most, it is always the ones with adverse weather.

That time it snowed during a Colosseum Tour! A definite twenty-five-year highlight.

The time the rain came down horizontally, and we had to dive inside a cafe to get cover? A cocktail and snack, and we were good to get going again.

No matter the weather, our guides are experts at making sure you have memories that will last.

Can my Kids Come on the Tour?

Yes, of course. But let’s be honest, what you really mean is will my kids enjoy the tour? We pride ourselves on handpicking our guides to ensure they are not only experts in their field but also world-class storytellers. We will ensure that you are paired with a guide who will keep your children captivated throughout the two days.

I want to see a Specific Site Not Listed. Is It Possible?

With enough notice, almost anything is possible. Reach out to one of our travel experts, and we’ll help you plan the perfect two days.

Is There A Dress Code?

Yes, you’ll need to make sure your knees and shoulders are covered when entering the churches. Shorts will still be acceptable in the summer, but bring a shawl you can wrap around yourself to avoid any disappointment.

The Important Small Print

The Basilica of St. Peter’s may be subject to unscheduled closings and late openings for religious ceremonies. Because these are often last-minute for security reasons, we may not have time to notify our guests but instead the full tour will be spent exploring other parts of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. We do not provide refunds for unexpected closures of St. Peter’s and your guide will still give you an introduction to the Basilica, should you wish to return in your own time during your stay in Rome.

Points of Interest on this Tour

The Colosseum
The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is an extraordinary structure built in the 1st century AD. It was capable of seating over 65,000 spectators and famously hosted gladiatorial combats, wild animal hunts, and public executions.
The Forum
Once the bustling heart of ancient Rome, the Forum is a spellbinding landscape of temples, basilicas, and triumphal arches. Walking its ancient paving stones today brings you face to face with the characters who shaped antiquity. Spine tingling!
The Sistine Chapel
Home to Michelangelo’s iconic ceiling and Last Judgment fresco as well as other Renaissance masterpieces, the Sistine Chapel is arguably the most famous temple of art in the world. It's also the papal chapel where conclaves are held.
The Vatican Museums
A vast route through centuries of art and ideas, the Vatican Museums lead you from ancient sculpture to Renaissance masterpieces and beyond in one of the world's greatest collection of art and antiquities.
The Raphael Rooms
The amazing sequence of frescoes painted by the young Raphael for Pope Julius II and Leo X in the Vatican's papal apartments exemplify the values of the Renaissance better than any other artworks in Italy. The highlight? The truly extraordinary School of Athens.
Piazza Navona
Built over an ancient racetrack, Piazza Navona remains one of Rome’s most captivating open spaces. Its trio of elegant fountains, anchored by Bernini’s spectacular Fountain of the Four Rivers, set the stage for lively cafés, street artists, and the timeless charm of Baroque Rome.
The Spanish Steps
One of Rome’s great gathering places, the Spanish Steps sweep elegantly from the Trinità dei Monti down to the bustling Piazza di Spagna. It's been a meeting point for artists, poets and the rest of us for centuries - the perfect place for a spot for people-watching!
The Trevi Fountain
The Trevi Fountain is Rome at its most theatrical: a cascade of water, sculpted rock, and mythological figures bursting from a palace façade. According to legend, tossing a coin into its pool will guarantee your return to the Eternal City.
