I read Ancient History, Archaeology, and Biblical Theology at Trinity College Dublin, where I was awarded a fully funded PhD (one I never completed). My Masters thesis was titled ‘Death, Disease and the Demos: An Examination of Thucydides’ Account of the Plague Of Athens”
I moved to Rome in 2006 and spent a decade working at the Vatican Museums as a licensed tour guide.
Today I am based in Lisbon where I used my knowledge of the history, cuisine, and culture of Italy and Portugal to launch a successful content consultancy.
While my original studies focused on Biblical theology and classical history, today my research focuses heavily on the history of food in both Portugal and Italy.
